Curriculum Design

My experience designing curriculum ranges from informal museum experiences to high school classroom lesson plans.

Youth Program Development

Adler youth programs include hack days, externships, and web-making workshops for youth from grades 6 to 12, all of which I lead or collaborate on designing, developing curriculum, implementing, and evaluating. View an example of a youth program, or take a look at some of the work created by Adler Teens.

Field Trip Programs
California Science Center

Developed specifically for the Big Lab at the California Science Center, curriculum included ladybugs, erosion, roller coaster design, chemistry, and the power of air. Field trip programs included pre- and post-activities. View examples of pre- and post-activities for ladybugs and roller coasters.

After School Curriculum

The Near Space Explorers after school curriculum was piloted at ChicagoQuest Middle School during the Spring of 2013. The program continues to be modified for the 2013-2014 school year. Modeled after existing game-based learning curriculum, I redesigned the material for an after school club setting and developed this accompanying website for students to access the lesson objectives.

The range of demonstrations developed for museum audiences includes large-scale shows, such as a dive and chemistry show, that incorporated central messaging and direct audience participation.
